Exhibition Split 70's by photojournalist Fedja Klaric will present 130 black and white prints of photographs recorded in an exciting decade for the history of the city and the Croatian photography. Feđa Klarić represents generation of photographers whose poetics and personality vividly enriched national school of photography with the genre of live news photograph and thus pave the way for a generation of photographers of the following decade such as Ivan Posavec and Mio Vesović. These photographers are marked by the quick and searching camera eye as well as personal sensibility to be present and record all the important events of city life and social phenomena that inspire and provoke. The core values of photojournalism: objectivity, truthfulness and narrativeness, with time became the key characteristics that define contemporary art practice.
Feđa Klarić (Split, 1946.) in 1971 – 2011 period worked as photojournalist for local daily newspaper „Slobodna Dalmacija“.
